Description of Position

We are looking to find a part-time Worship and Creative Arts Pastor who will lead the musical and creative aspects of our worship experience each weekend. Tidal Creek currently offers three identical worship times each weekend and the primary responsibility of the Worship Pastor is to prepare a team of musicians to lead the musical aspects of worship. We are looking for an energetic leader who has a heart of worship, a servant’s spirit, and a desire to develop the musicians entrusted to him/her. Our goal is to have a new Worship and Arts Pastor in place by November 1.


About Our Church

Tidal Creek Fellowship is a Non-Denominational church planted 14 years ago. Four years ago we moved into our present facility after meeting in a school for 10 years. Tidal Creek began with 7 families in 2002 and today that number has grown into a church that sees over 600 in weekend attendance. Our heartbeat is to share the life we have discovered in following Jesus. We take seriously Christ’s command to make disciples.


Our City

Tidal Creek Fellowship is located in Beaufort, South Carolina. Beaufort is a small coastal town known for its charm, hospitality, history, beautiful marsh views, and military bases. Our small town is no longer a secret as Southern Living magazine recently recognized Beaufort as a “Small Town We Love” and in 2013 Beaufort was ranked #1 as America’s Happiest Seaside Towns by readers of Coastal Living Magazine. Our area is also expected to be one of the fastest growing areas in the U.S. over the next 15 years.


Primary Duties

-Oversee Worship & Creative Arts for all worship services.

-Oversee and direct weekly Praise Band rehearsals.

-Teaming with Pastor to lead, plan, and guide worship

-Recruit, train, and ensure the spiritual care of those on the Worship Arts Teams

-Attend the weekly staff meeting and a weekly worship planning time with team.


Education/Experience/Gifts and Qualities Needed

-A growing relationship with Jesus Christ

-Contagious enthusiasm for guiding others into worship

-2 years minimum experience as worship leader/pastor

-Minimum of 2 year Associates Degree or equivalent life experience related to music

-Champion of Tidal Creek’s mission and team-style of ministry

-Ability to lead and develop musicians

-Gifted vocalist who is humble and spirit-led

-Technology savvy

-Strong detail and task focus

-Understanding of role as Disciple-maker as Worship Leader (Matt. 28:18-20)



As far as can be determined the Worship & Arts Pastor must:

            -Be a disciple of Christ who is committed to making other disciples

            -Demonstrate and enthusiastic heart for worship

            -Be a person of character and integrity

            -Be comfortable with sharing his/her faith

            -Be a person of maturity

            -Be a team player with a respect for authority

            -Be a servant leader

            -Have a deep love for God and people


Hourly Expectations and Compensation

The compensation for this position is based on an expectation of 30 hours of work per week.
