The Grove Community Church in Riverside, CA is currently hiring for the position of Children’s Ministry Director/Pastor. The Director/Pastor of Children’s Ministry is responsible, along with the entire pastoral staff, for the spiritual health and well-being

Meets the qualifications of an overseer stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1
Knows the Gospel and is able to clearly communicate it in any environment God places them
Maintains a practice of personal devotions and a Christ-like lifestyle and family life
Bachelor’s degree related to Christian ministry
Minimum three years of experience in children’s ministry role or related work
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse staff and congregation
Willing to contribute to a harmonious team effort
Active focus on supporting positive relationships; treating people with dignity, respect, integrity and compassion
Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate
Strong organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good problem solving skills
Works well under time deadlines
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet and email use
Plans, leads and directs all aspects of Children’s Ministry including staff, volunteers, services, programs and events.
Aligns all ministry with the purpose statement and core values of The Grove.
Provides guidance, support and encouragement for the Director of KIDS Discovery/Early Childhood Ministry and the Director of The Grove Preschool.
Fosters open communication with parents/guardians on a regular basis.
Recruits, trains, encourages and oversees qualified volunteers to assist in Children’s Ministry.
Manages the budget for Children’s Ministry.
Coordinates with the Director of Discovery Ministry to ensure consistency and compatibility between the two ministries.
Attends all church wide events and events that Children’s Ministry participates in.
Continues growth and development through conferences, reading, and exchange of ideas with others.
