Job Description:

Title: PT Children’s Coordinator Reports to: Children’s Pastor 

Function: Implement all curriculum and activities during Sunday services, and shepherd Children’s Ministry kids and volunteers at the Uptown Location.



  • Make disciples within DCC Kids. Replicate yourself in others through the process of leadership development.

  • Oversee the scheduling of volunteers at the Uptown location.

  • Work with Children’s Pastor to manage and organize weekly curriculum

  • Work with Children’s Pastor and be present at all DCC Kids events (VBS, Family

    Night, Volunteer Appreciation)

  • Work closely with Children’s Pastor regarding vision, on-ramps between their

    areas, communication, philosophy of ministry and general future decisions

  • Oversee all physical space, appearance and cleanliness of all children’s rooms and

    supplies at Uptown

  • Ensure safety of children by managing all background checks and safety

    precautions (First Aid, cleaning policies and maintenance)

  • Meet with Children’s Pastor on a regular basis to ensure vision continues to be

    lived out

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager



  • A relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior

  • Beliefs consistent with DCC’s “Our Story” (Statement of Faith)

  • Participant on the Ministry Team

  • An intense commitment to the mission and vision of Denver Community Church.

  • Responsible self-management that reveals genuine servant-hood, faith-

    centeredness, teachability and spiritual stability

  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks concurrently

  • Supportive and loyal to staff members and the faith community

  • Maintains a healthy sense of humor

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Intermediate computer skills such as Microsoft Office, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Ability to interact well with people in the office environment through

    correspondence and various levels of communication

  • Ability to attract and retain volunteers, work well with teams


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2 years history of proven children’s leadership
