Job Description:

Cross of Glory is a unique, genuine body of believers who love the Lord and love each other. The primary role of the Sound Tech Director at Cross of Glory is to provide leadership, vision and direction in developing excellent worship environments that allow people to connect with Jesus Christ.



  • Job is 6-8 hours a week, and must be available Sunday mornings, 8-12.
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers to serve in technical roles during the worship services and other events
  • Provide ongoing technical training to volunteers, staff and ministry partners, to ensure the delivery of quality technical services
  • Create and maintain systems that give opportunities for volunteers to thrive
  • Set up for all Sunday services and Thursday night rehearsals
  • Ensure that required supplies (batteries, cabling, etc.) are obtained and available prior to being needed
  • Conduct equipment maintenance at regular intervals, completing viable repairs when needed
  • Forecast the need for new equipment and coordinate the purchasing process with appropriate staff
  • Maintain consistent communication with leadership and volunteers, and perform required administrative tasks on time


Successful Candidate will:

  • Be actively pursuing a relationship with Jesus Christ and have the desire to serve His church
  • Have a background or education in Sound Engineering, Studio Work, Production or related field
  • Be experience with Midas M32 (or comparable) console
  • Be comfortable in a Mac-based environment
  • Be current with latest best practices of Sound Engineering
  • Have a high degree of initiative, accountability and attention to detail
  • Have the ability to identify and avoid potential problems before they happen
  • Be available Sunday mornings between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to be on-site
  • Be a self-starter, completing work on time and with a spirit of excellence, while requiring minimal supervision
  • Be detail-oriented, setting a culture for all volunteers to care about the little things to accomplish great things
  • Have the ability to work well with the worship team to execute the weekend services at a high level
  • Take a proactive approach to resolving immediate technical issues
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities calmly under pressure and to adjust, when needed, to changes in a fast-paced environment

Other: Some degree of musicianship is a plus
