Pastor of Children’s Ministries (PCM)
We at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church (ERBC) have been exceptionally blessed by being located within one of the fastest growing communities of young families in Canada. Over our nearly 70 years of ministry in Greater Edmonton, Alberta, our congregation occupied
three successive locations before settling at our current location in 1993, within our 55,000 square foot facility. The attendance has increased steadily in step with the growing city population and we are looking to further impact the community for Christ.
In this full-time role, the Pastor of Children’s Ministries will passionately and effectively live out the ERBC vision to “make disciples who love God, love people and serve the world.” The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop and lead a renewed
vision for the spiritual harvest among children and their families in the community, supported by our experienced, committed staff members and significant resourcing available for this ministry to advance the Great Commission. Through God’s enabling, the efforts
of the PCM will cause ERBC to become known in our community as an environment that meets key family needs.
The PCM will be a proven inspirational leader, gifted and called to develop within children an age-appropriate awareness of and committed growth in living for Jesus, and supporting their parents/guardians to accept their role as spiritual
leaders in their homes. The PCM will have successfully implemented creative children’s programs in a large church (minimum of 100+ children and 25+ volunteers), received at least a Bachelor’s degree with some Bible/Theological studies, and demonstrates
a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ shown in action and attitude.
