Youth Leader, July 2016
The Fisherman’s Net Church of Utica, Michigan is in need of a Youth Leader.
The position is part-time. Our church is Evangelical with a passion to see the Gospel
of Jesus Christ change lives. We seek a youth leader who loves the Lord and is called
to work with teens. A leader who is willing to commit heart, thought and prayer
to their spiritual maturity are the traits desired.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
~To work with church leadership to plan and develop ongoing teaching of
Scripture to highschoolers.
~To lead the high school Sunday School class twice each month, also plan
and lead the weekly evening teen meeting.
~To meet with and exhort youth members with questions regarding their faith.
~To regularly attend our church services.
~To aid our youth to discover and develop their spiritual gifts and how they help
form the Body in their local church.
~To plan and coordinate service events to assist persons or a ministry in need.
~To help plan and oversee youth fundraisers such as an annual car wash and bake
~To attend and help coordinate participation in an annual weekend summer camp.
~To coordinate with a church elder in planning an annual budget for expenses.
~To help increase attendance for the group.
~A background check will be performed.
~The Youth Leader is born again and has received the Holy Spirit’s
~One holding to the inerrancy and authority of Scripture.
~One holding to our Statement of Beliefs.
~One who can work with and report to Church leadership.
~One who holds or is pursuing a degree in Biblical or Pastoral studies is
~One capable of engaging the teens during instruction.
Our members reflect a love for the Lord Jesus and a depth of commitment to helping each
other grow. We want to make the Lord known. Our mission statement reads:
- Our mission as the Fisherman’s Net Church is to be a valuable part of the spread of God’s word in Southeast Michigan.
- A place where the broken can come and become whole through God’s word and the Holy Spirit.
- A place where believers can be groomed to maturity in Jesus Christ and sent out to recover the lost.
- A place our children can learn of the gift of salvation and begin their spiritual walk with Jesus Christ.
