Job Description:

(25 hours per week)

Purpose: To partner with the CCC Leaders, an existing team of Volunteer Leaders, and the parents of our Junior High students, to lead and guide our students to meet, know and serve Jesus.

Program Responsibilities:

  • Lead and teach at weekly Sunday morning and midweek program
  • Develop small groups as part of the midweek program
  • Plan/oversee outreach events/activities for students in Clayton Valley area
  • Plan/oversee discipleship camps/retreats
  • Visit campus regularly for outreach and to build relationships
  • Recruit, train and lead adult Volunteer Team to mentor youth, lead small groups, and understand “Ministry Safe” volunteering
  • Plan/oversee community service events
  • Communicate regularly with parents: informational updates, personal insights, and spiritual encouragement
  • Facilitate/oversee, in partnership with our Missions Team, missions opportunities for students and their families
  • Partner with elementary and high school leaders/students to provide a connection and smooth transitions throughout school years
  • Prepare flyers, calendars and other publicity materials for programs/events
  • Oversee set-up/take-down for programs/events

Spiritual Development Responsibilities:

  • Identify and regularly engage with a Prayer Team of at least 3 people, who will pray for you personally as well as your ministry (or 2 separate teams)
  • Attend church staff meetings, training events, and one Sunday morning church gathering each week; be onsite Sundays from 8:00am - 12:30pm
  • Attend CCC All-Church events; support CCC Local Outreach activities
  • Meet with supervisor on a regular basis for mentoring and accountability
  • Spend time in study, prayer and preparation, led by the Holy Spirit, grounded in God’s Word
