Job Description:

Latonia, KY

Trinity United Methodist Church is a small church in an urban setting that is redefining itself in its outreach to the community.  While Trinity is small in attendance (50-60), it has a tremendous footprint in NKY and greater Cincinnati, as it is the headquarters for UMCFood Ministry, a ministry of the NKY District of the United Methodist Church, which serves over 1 million free meals to children each year out of 7 central kitchens (of which Trinity operates one central kitchen).   UMCFood Ministry has over 80 employees.

This position will be primarily administrative within the UMCFood Ministry organization.  The Worship Leadership position at Trinity UMC consists of adding a contemporary worship element to our mostly traditional current worship experience.  This person would ideally be able to play acoustic guitar extremely well, lead vocally, have a creative flair for worship elements (such as drama, visual arts, etc.) and fully appreciate that our congregation has a deep appreciation for traditional worship music.  The congregation is faithful in their prayers, service, witness and giving.  There are additional  ministry opportunities available at Trinity depending upon the gifts and graces a person may bring to the table including connecting with youth, preaching/teaching, creating an opportunity for an additional worship experience specifically designed to reach out to our immediate geographic community, etc.

The position within UMCFood will be working with our partners in assuring compliance with the food program rules; assisting in developing systems to help us better utilize our people resources; being a part of the senior leadership team, and looking for opportunities to connect more children with the food program we operate.  This position requires someone who is very detail oriented, can juggle many projects at once, and is not afraid of paperwork.

This position offers employer match 403(b) retirement, paid vacation, health insurance contribution.
