CCCM Job Description : Accounting Manager
Vision - CCCM’s Controller will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of accounting and financial services and reporting to the ministries of CCCM.
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including supervision of the general ledger, financial analysis, audit preparation, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Ensure proper management of cash and financial reserves.
Conduct internal auditing of accounting practices. Ensure conformance to generally accepted accounting principles and church tax laws.
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to ministries and senior leadership and create the operational systems to support ministry activity.
Manage accounting team. This includes problem solving, diving into issues, providing direction, systems development, and collaborating on a positive outcome.
Interface cooperatively with ministry leaders to ensure proper accounting of expenditures to support both ministry activity and financial stewardship principles.
Budget preparation and special projects as necessary.
Recruit and train volunteers to serve in accounting ministry.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum of 7 years professional experience in related field.
Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop staff.
Ability to integrate big picture and details.
Proficient in computer software applications such as MS Office Suite.
Possess good organizational skills and efficient work characteristics.
Excellent interpersonal skills working with staff and volunteers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Reports to the Director of Accounting
Coordinates with Accounting, HR, and IT staff.
