God has given Vineyard a mission in Cincinnati for the expansion of His Kingdom. Their values are woven throughout everything they do. It is a ‘forward-centric’ church that is passionate and focused on His vision and purpose for Vineyard Cincinnati. With an outward focused mindset, the heart and goal of Vineyard is to pursue the ‘radical middle’. With a sense of acceptance led by a ‘come just as you are’ philosophy, Vineyard constantly seeks opportunities for evangelism, with the ultimate intention of discipleship, where radical acceptance meets radical discipleship.

The culture of serving is foundational to its DNA, meeting practical needs as an expression of God’s love (aka. servant evangelism) has been a hallmark of this church since its inception. This longstanding attribute speaks to the heritage of outreach and heart for serving that is integrated within the Vineyard organism.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide oversight and direction for the church’s approach and programs for spiritual growth. This role functions as a member of the executive team and must work cooperatively and collaboratively with both the executive team and other ministry team leaders.

A master’s degree in theology or related degree (or willingness to obtain one) is required for this position. In addition to core competencies necessary for the role, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and characteristics, so as to effectively fulfill the goals and expectations of the position:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead other “seasoned” subject matter experts in ministry.
  • Ability to think strategic—a global thinker, confidentiality, “church wins” mentality.
  • Pastor / Teacher / Leader gifting with a strong biblical foundation.
  • Adept in local mega church theologically and pragmatically.
  • Capable of functioning as a productive member of the Executive Team
