Job Description:

Thriving church is seeking a gifted Technical Arts Coordinator.  Plainfield Christian Church (PCC), located on the west side of Indianapolis, is committed to loving all people to a new life in Christ.  The expansion of our Media Arts Team has created the need for a Technical Arts Coordinator. This position is hands-on operation, installation, trouble-shooting, and repair of live production audio, video, and lighting equipment, software and computers. It also provides direction and leadership to the technical volunteer teams in all venues at PCC including training, volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and standardizing processes. Understanding the vision of the church and how it affects technical and creative elements of worship is a critical component of this position. The Technical Arts Coordinator reports to the Media Arts Director as a member of the Media Arts Team.


The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  1. Exhibits a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  2. Strategic planning and project management skills
  3. Ability to provide technical guidance, training and support to technical volunteers
  4. Knowledge of PCC’s core values and impact on technical arts
  5. Ability to organize, prioritize, schedule and coordinate work tasks and projects
  6. Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other staff and volunteers, and to foster a spirit of unity in a team environment
  8. Strong communication skills
  9. Strong passion for creative arts and ability to apply that to live production
  10. Technical experience may include, but not be limited to:
  11. ProPresenter presentation software
  12. Vista lighting software, DMX protocol, and lighting consoles
  13. Mac computers
  14. Live audio mixing
  15. Digital mixing consoles
  16. Audio signal flow
  17. Live production cameras and video switchers
  18. DSLR cameras
