Job Description:

The Worship and Music Department at Central Community Church is a growing area within our church. We are currently in need of a dynamic, passionate and qualified individual to provide assistance in creating unforgettable experiences that lead to life transformation.



• Establish a consistent MD role during Weekend Experiences, as a position of trust and dependability

• Lead or schedule a Worship Leader for 52 weekends a year

• Plan and run weekly practices/rehearsals ensuring excellence and preparedness

• Ensure charts and multi tracks are set and ready for each week’s rehearsal

• Oversee and develop singers and musicians, providing opportunities for care, growth and development, responding, as required, during any crisis

• Build a team of leaders, including but not limited to: (Band Directors & Worship Leaders) that can both capture and reproduce the heartbeat of Central’s Worship

• MD and/or Lead Worship for special services and performances, including but not limited to Easter Weekend, Christmas Eve and Vision Weekend

• Ensure music for Sacred Services (Weddings, Funerals) is covered by someone from our team, as needed

• Stay current with music culture both in and out of the church and introduce as needed

• Look for new and innovative ways to create a music experience that leads to life transformation

• Be an active voice and participate within the leadership and direction of our Weekend Experiences

• Assist in submitting song options in Planning Centre Online (PCO) for all Weekend Experiences

• Proactively support and develop up and coming worship leaders/teams from CYM & Kidopolis, providing assistance as needed

• Be an active participate in the development of CreateONE Day events

• Develop and maintain new musician process, auditions and integration

• Build, purchase and maintain musical equipment (in relationship with Production Director)

• Manage and maintain song/arrangement details in PCO (charts, rehearsal stems, mp3 files, etc)

• Work with team (Staff + Volunteers) in creating a culture of song writing and lead team in producing a worship project at least once a year

• Assist Weekend Producer as needed in scheduling and setting training opportunities

• Be point person for all special guest invites and requests, including, but not limited to Unite Productions Concerts, WorldVision Events and Solo Artists

• Maintain and manage established ministry budget



• A person who has a Bachelor of Arts (4 years) degree

• A person who is passionate about worship through music

• Self-motivated and able to take initiative easily

• Reliable, dependable, and have a strong work ethic

• A person who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with teams and lead people

• A person who has strong history of always bringing their best

• A person who has shown a pattern at perseverance and risk taking in order to see people impacted

• A person who has a working knowledge of Mac, Microsoft Word and Excel

• A person who has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
