Director of Worship Ministries



Community of Hope is seeking a Director of Worship Ministries. The leader we are looking for will work with a worship team to develop weekly worship opportunities where the Body of Christ can gather to lift their voices in praise and worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A strong relationship with God is crucial as the Director of Worship is expected to do more than perform, they are expected to worship God and invite others to worship God with them. In addition to a strong relationship with God, the Director of Worship Ministries will work with a team of volunteer musicians, developing the team both spiritually and musically. Strong vocal skills are necessary and instrumental skills are a plus. Furthermore, it is crucial that the applicant have the ability to organize and plan the weekly worship while caring for the media needs of the church.


Community of Hope is a diverse congregation serving the growing North Mansfield/South Arlington region of North Texas. The congregation is in the process of positioning for growth and continuing a strong worship ministry is a vital part of the future of Hope.


The Director of Worship Ministries will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the Pastor and Creative Team in developing worship themes and images as well as coordinating the music and media for worship.
  • Planning and preparing for worship during church holidays. While Community of Hope is not a liturgical congregation, knowledge of the liturgical calendar would be helpful.
  • Planning and scheduling a rotation of volunteer vocalists and musicians.
  • Organizing, planning, and leading rehearsals in preparation for worship weekly.
  • Implementing and overseeing the media presence of the church including an online presence of social media and website. 
  • Developing weekly worship presentations through Pro-Presenter, including motion and still backgrounds and environmental projection.
