ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight: Leads and cast vision to the AC staff and teams to ensure that they are effectively accomplishing their goals. This includes but is not limited to:
- Responsible for the supervision of AC staff. Oversees all events including outreach, child dedications, camps, family fun nights, etc.
- Communications -- frequent one-on-ones with direct report staff; conduct periodic communications sessions with AC team, volunteer staff and key leaders; responsible for AC ministry communications to parents; liaison to Operations Director as it relates
to any AC facility issues
- Hold periodic training sessions.
- Conduct periodic program reviews.
Program Development: Ensures proper policies, procedures and training programs are in place to run an effective AC ministry. Facilitate AC curriculum brainstorms and yearly curriculum planning
meetings. Coordinate and Plan child dedication. Establish and work within annual department budget. Review BG checks.
Provide leadership for the AC ministry by casting vision to all stakeholders. Be a spokesperson to MGT for the AC ministry. Teach Large Group on periodic basis. Coordinate the AC Key Leader Retreat. Coach staff and ensures that key AC leaders are
providing coaching to volunteers. This is done by providing regular constructive feedback on their performance. Identify high potential individuals and mentor them to grow in their leadership capabilities. Facilitate conflict resolution with all stakeholders
along with managing formal incident reporting related to AC’s ministry.
Represent the AC ministry and their activities when participating in Management discussions. Keep other departments informed as to your department’s actions and make requests to others of needed resources in a timely manner. Share resources with other
departments to further the overall mission of K2, as needed.
Pastoral Care: Shepherding, counseling, and offering Biblically sound wisdom for staff and K2 members.
JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES
Has been a practicing believer for a minimum of 10 years, with strong core biblical knowledge & spiritual maturity
Have the ability to train and lead leaders & large numbers of volunteers.
Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to speak & teach to mid-large sized groups
Optimistic problem solver and makes decisions that thinks big picture
Previous experience in managing people in a secular or church environment.
Track record of serving and leading at a church.
Ability to facilitate professional conflict resolution between staff, volunteers, families and children
Proven leadership skills and ability to train leaders and mentor others.
Ability to multi-task
Remain calm under pressure
Ability to cast vision and inspire people to action
