Job Description:

FaithBridge Church is a Pentecostal (Assemblies of God) church located in West Chicago, a suburb 30 miles west of Chicago. West Chicago and the surrounding communities are a melting pot of many nationalities, religions, and ministry opportunities. Our church ministers to the people of all ages from these suburbs through church services (~75 adults, youth and children on Sunday mornings), multiple small groups, and a food pantry that feeds 35 families per month. We have one Associate Pastor who functions as our interim executive pastor (overseeing day-­-to-­-day operations and ministries). Our church has a history of strong missions focus, supporting local and foreign teams financially and with short-­-term ministry and construction mission trips.


1) salvation (John 3:3)
2) baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4)
3) temperate life, family, and testimony becoming of a spiritual leader (1 Tim 3:2-­-7)
4) spiritual maturity and growing, dynamic relationship with God
5) a spirit of discernment and ability to facilitate use of spiritual gifts in services, congregation and community
6) a call of God to shepherd His flock and build the 5-­-fold ministry in it
7) collaborative leadership and vision-­-casting capabilities
8) multicultural competence and strong drive for local outreach as well as world–wide missions
9) licensed or ordained by the Assemblies of God, in good standing with the current District


a. Supervise pastoral and church staff and lay leaders ensuring vision and direction, task completion, ministry improvement/progression, and personal/spiritual growth of the workers (volunteers, staff, lay leaders or pastors)
b. Serve as chairman of the Board of Elders, meeting with them regularly
c. Develop leadership qualities in individuals in the congregation
d. Supervise organization and placement of individuals where they can minster effectively


a. Primary preacher in Sunday services and possibly Wednesday services and Sunday school
b. Develop and/or oversee training of the congregation in biblical understanding and obedience
c. Clear, enthusiastic preaching that can edify people at different levels of spiritual maturity
d. Oversee training in spiritual gifts and their use in worship services and in the community
