Knox Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, CA (www.knoxpasadena.org) is seeking a dynamic individual to supervise our programs for students in grades 7-12, and to lead in worship for our 10 a.m. Sunday service. The director of youth ministries and worship arts
would recruit and direct adult volunteers, both for assisting with the youth program, and for playing in the worship band. This individual would direct and develop our ministries to youth, which include weekly group meetings, Sunday School classes, and special
events (such as summer camp, retreats, Youth Sunday, and mission/service projects). She or he would lead singing for congregational worship while accompanying with guitar or piano, and coordinate artistic elements for the worship services (visuals, drama,
etc.). The director supervises our paid organist/pianist, sound engineer, and any interns for youth ministry or worship. The position is full time, $41,600 - $48,500 (depending on experience), and includes health and dental benefits through Aetna. Knox
is a growing, vibrant church community that values both young people and creative worship. We have attracted many talented parishioners from the local community including Cal Tech and Fuller Theological Seminary. We are also an intergenerational congregation
that worships in a “blended” format, mixing contemporary and traditional music styles, and often has students playing or singing in the worship band. This job is also being listed as two separate part-time positions: a youth ministries director at 20-25 hours
