Job Description:



The Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with other team members and church staff to conceptualize story ideas
  • Use Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Apple Final Cut Pro to assemble recorded video footage, graphic elements and audio into finished projects matching the direction of the technical director
  • Demonstrate the ability to visually tell a cohesive story
  • Create rough and final cuts of multi-camera video projects
  • Assist with lighting and on-set production needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Self Starter with entrepreneurial work ethic who also likes to have fun
  • Must demonstrate in-depth, working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or Apple Final Cut Pro
  • Must have working knowledge of other professional video related hardware and software typically used in the editing process
  • Must demonstrate sophisticated aesthetic, technical skill, and knowledge of current media trends
  • Must be able to work well alone and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with professional video production procedures, practices, techniques, and terminology
  • Experience with field production, digital post-production, various video formats and transcoding, encoding and final authoring for distribution
  • Ability to prioritize and address multiple, concurrent projects, with varying production timelines
  • College degree, and/or equivalent experience, preferred
