The Lead Pastor is to use his experience, spiritual gifts, and natural talents to serve and honor God in the midst of our community in the following ways:
The Lead Pastor will serve as the primary preacher in the church. He will also take opportunities beyond the pulpit to teach biblical doctrine and principles in support of the church’s statement of faith. He will present the Gospel as the opportunity

In his administrative role the Lead Pastor will serve as a “leader among equals” with the church elders to provide what is needed for the church to be a restorative community. He will lead regular staff meetings, coordinate efficiently with the
Office Administrator, and oversee and encourage staff in their spiritual lives and duties. He will also pursue his own spiritual and professional development.
He will consult with and advise the worship team leader to plan meaningful worship experiences, and will participate with the Associate Pastor in pastoral care. He will work with the Children’s Ministries Director to promote teaching and programs
that equip and inspire parents to model and impart biblical values to their children. He will oversee and assign performance of weddings and funerals.
The Lead Pastor will also represent the church in the larger Body of Christ and in the community. He will become strategically involved in civic life in order to connect the church to the community, and will model Jesus’ values in contemporary,
everyday life. He will love and lead his own family in a manner that promotes their spiritual life.
