Job Description:



Basic Assignment


  • Lead as part of the Family Life Team with a primary focus of working with High School students.
  • Learn the vision, mission and strategy of Manchester Christian Church (MCC) and work with the Family Life Team to accomplish our vision and mission.
  • Vision: Connect people to God, Connect People to People & Connect people to Mission.
  • Mission: More people in the Kingdom of Heaven in the shortest amount of time.
  • Strategy:  Pray for One – Pray each day and ask God to give you one person to share His love with.
  • Full Time (40 hours a week minimum)



  • Have a demonstrated passion for student ministry.
  • Must be a person of high moral and spiritual integrity.
  • Communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Be in a committed, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a teachable spirit and a healthy family life.
  • Demonstrated experience in growing a student ministry.
  • Experience leading, developing and recruiting volunteers and volunteer teams.
  • A self-motivated leader, possessing relational skills with students, parents and staff.
  • Have a deep commitment to being a team player and team builder.


Specific Responsibilities


  • Recruit, train and lead adult volunteers and student leaders.
  • Build positive relationships with students and be engaged in the things they care about.  (Ex. attending sports games, plays, concerts etc.…)
  • Lead wherever necessary in regards to weekly programs.  This may include leading a discussion group each week, teaching or preaching when needed, greeting, administrative details, etc.
  • Lead out and/or assist in planning special events with various ministry teams (example: Camps, Retreats, Missions, Family Life events and multi-site planning).
  • Coordinate the High School student leadership team.  Encourage, empower and equip theses students to lead in various roles at Elevate each week.
  • Attend weekly Family Life Team Meetings and bi monthly all staff meetings.
