Covenant Chapel, an Evangelical Presbyterian Church, in Leawood, Kansas, is seeking an energetic young man or woman to invest in the lives of our middle and high school students. Our vision as a church is to grow to maturity as disciples of Jesus who love
God and love others.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passionate and contageous love for God and for others. In addition to possessing knowledge of the Bible and Reformed Theology, this person will also display the joy of the Lord and the fruit of the Spirit. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate strong relationship skills, both with students and adult volunteers. This person must be able to delegate to others and mobilize the adult volunteers to do the work of the ministry (Eph. 4). The candidate will demonstrate strong
character and emotional maturity fitting for one who will disciple teenagers. The ideal candidate will be relevant and engaging.
A completed bachelor's degree is preferred. A Presbyterian background is not required but the candidate must have a high view of Scripture and be in agreement with the Essentials of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Westminster Confession of Faith.
This is a part-time position at this time (approximately 20 hours per week) and the pay is about $1,200 per month--ideal for a seminary student or spouse. The candidate can also expect to receive mentoring from church elders and seasoned volunteers.
