Topeka Bible Church is a healthy, vibrant church with an average Sunday morning attendance of 1,600. TBC recently completed a $5 million building on its campus, along with a $700,000 renovation of an existing building, adhering to its "no-debt" practice.
TBC's mission statement, which drives every strategic decision, is "leading people to life in Christ."
TBC is looking for an individual whose heartbeat is to help others grow in Christ through small groups and who is passionate to enable men to grow in their knowledge of and walk with the Lord.
The specific responsibilities of the position include casting the vision of the importance of small groups, actively recruiting small group leaders and participants, placing individuals into small groups, training and discipling new and existing leaders
and providing general care of small groups. The individual in this position will also provide spiritual leadership and will serve as a resource center for ideas to make small home groups and Sunday adult classes meaningful and effective.
Additionally, the individual in this position will oversee a team of volunteers to develop and implement studies that disciple and deploy men to live for Christ in their marriages, families, work, church, world and personal lives.
As requested, the Pastor of Small Groups may be responsible for preparing and delivering occasional Sunday morning messages or for other special events.
A seminary degree is preferred, although experience related to the job responsibilities may be substituted.
