Ministry programming is cohesively designed with the aforementioned purposes in mind, and are structured in a way that addresses real challenges and difficult questions believers face in life.


Today, Church at the Gates is poised for growth. And its leadership, along with the congregation look forward with anticipation and depend on God’s providence as they seek a Senior Pastor who will provide the organization with visional direction, missional clarity, and a sustained sense of purpose they move into the future, continuing to expand His Kingdom in local, regional, and global capacities.


The Senior Pastor will serve as a spiritual point and a directional navigator with attributes that speak to his efficiency in vision-casting, teaching, shepherding, and management. This individual will fulfill the aforementioned roles, while simultaneously forming, championing, and integrating the DNA into the life of the church. They will work in collaboration with the Elders of Church at the Gates, to enhance and propel the mission, and effectively administer the operational aspects of the organization.


This individual will be an exceptionally strong, energetic, and high-level communicator who will draw people in through his style and method of delivery. They will sustain the discipleship focus of the church, while maintaining a healthy balance of its missional and attractional values as they lead in a relevant, challenging, and life giving way.


A master’s degree from a seminary institution is required for this position, which will accompany the following skills, at minimum:


  • Possess a strong, proven, and successful history of ministry.
  • Experience in all aspects of pastoral ministry.
  • Ability to recognize and support staff needs.
  • Skilled and avid in both verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Highly adaptable and resilient with the ability to navigate well through change.
  • Demonstrated self-discipline, self-motivation, and results-oriented contribution.
  • A working knowledge of both large and small budget/financial management.
