POSITION DESCRIPTION

The full time (40+ hours) Music Producer is responsible for directing and managing the musicians of Element Worship, providing musical resources and maintaining a high level of excellence in the artist craft. 

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekend Services

  1. Serve as Music Director/musician as assigned
  2. Provide musical resources, including: chord charts, vocal roadmaps, MP3’s, tracks, etc.
  3. Coordinate with Production Assistant to ensure placement and operation of musical equipment for all venues
  4. Responsible for setting up training for all new musicians (currently Thursday evenings)
  5. Produce backing tracks necessary for worship and media
  6. Write/compose musical notation as needed

Special Events

  1. Serve as Music Director/musician as assigned
  2. Provide musical resources, including: chord charts, vocal roadmaps, MP3’s, tracks, etc.
  3. Coordinate with Production Assistant to ensure placement and operation of musical equipment for all venues
  4. Procurement of all musical equipment rented, borrowed, etc.
  5. Produce backing tracks necessary for worship  and media
  6. Write/compose musical notation as needed

Administrative

  1. Scheduling all musicians for all special events and weekend services
  2. Hire contract players as needed
  3. Primary point of contact for musician care needs
  4. Recruit and train of all musicians
  5. Maintain Music Library in PCO and Song Log
  6. Oversee maintenance of musical equipment

?       Keep stock of necessary accessories, i.e. strings, picks, drum heads, etc.

?       Oversee the receiving and shipping of musical equipment

?       Keep musical equipment maintenance log

  1. Research and recommend musical equipment purchases
  2. Staying current with musical equipment and technology
  3. Oversee musician evaluations
  4. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Pastor of Worship Arts and Worship Operations Director

 

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Skilled in the use of computer programs, including Evernote, Microsoft Office Suite, ProPresenter with internet savvy
  • Proficient in Ableton and Logic (Pro Tools)
  • Professional-level written and verbal communication skills?
  • An ability to communicate effectively with Departmental Leadership and team members
  • Professionalism and poise in communicating with external requests
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and an ability to multi-task
  • Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • An ability to safely lift equipment weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Have a heart to pastor / serve others
  • Superior attention to safety details

 

ELEMENT CHURCH EXPECTATIONS

Attend Element Church weekly, special meetings/conferences, staff-related events, and any other events requested by the Executive Pastor of Worship Arts. Be an active member of Element Church, upholding the Bylaws, core values and belief statements of the church.

EVALUATION AND COMPENSATION

Performance evaluations will be conducted at least one time per year.

Compensation will be determined based on experience and performance evaluation results.
