Job Description:


This position exists for the mutual benefit of Flipside and the intern. Flipside receives an individual who can offer their own set of skills, knowledge, interests, and passions to support and enhance Flipside ministries. In turn, the intern receives the opportunity to learn and practice ministry in a safe and nurturing environment as the intern continues to discern and build upon their call to ministry.

Qualifications and Standards:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Models Timothy 3: 1­13 and Titus 1:6­9.

  • Expected to become an active member at Flipside Church

  • Demonstration of an active Christian Faith and spiritual growth.

  • Commits to faithful adherence to the Flipside mission statement, vision, core

    values and policies.

  • Practices the Biblical concept of “Submission to Authority” (1 Peter 2:13­25).

  • Handles conflict resolution at the time of the occurrence (Matthew 18:15­19).

  • Demonstration of Godly stewardship in tithing and lifestyle.

  • Recognizes and embraces the value of teamwork and individual success.

  • Demonstrating appropriate boundaries in life, relationships, and ministry.

  • Willingness and ability to teach

  • Posses a sense of call to ministry and desiring to follow and process that calling

Start Date: June 1, 2016

Hours: 20 hrs per week

Pay: $1,000 per month

Ability to help lead discussions and group activities as a part of a team of adult ministry partners

Key Responsibilities:



       Working in the ministry during gatherings on Sundays

  • Serve weekly as a Flipt small or large group leader or on Sunday mornings

  • Lead from the front to engage kids in lessons and activities

  • Oversee the Flipt middle school volunteers 

Organizing, planning, preparing, executing, and following through on

weekly, monthly, and annual events

  • Plan, organize, and execute small weekly/monthly Flipt Events:

    • 5th Grade Monthly Events

    • 4th Grade Monthly Events

    • 3rd Grade Monthly Events

    • Fliptabulous Funday Sunday’s Monthly

  • Works with directors to organize and execute all Flipt events and


  • Attend and participate in Flipt events throughout the year


Working on the ministry weekly leading up to weekly programs, meetings,

and events

  • Prepare the technology side of the lessons for Sundays

  • Plan, execute and engage kids in Fliptabulous Funday Sundays


  • Call kids and families regularly to invite and follow up on Sundays

    and events

  • Meet with Family Ministry Director regularly

  • Attend the young adult growth group

  • To monitor progress by giving reports of ministry progress to Lead

    Pastor and/or Director of Family Ministries

  • Regularly pray for the families of our church and the ministries we


  • Performs other duties as assigned
