Southland is a multi-site church in Central Kentucky with campuses in Lexington, Nicholasville, Georgetown, and Danville. At Southland we believe a job on our team is more than just a job—it's a calling. But we're not just looking for people who've
only been serving in ministry; we're looking for people who have a desire to follow God’s calling for their life.
Being on staff at Southland is like joining a family. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, so we laugh a lot. But, because our mission is so critical, we challenge each other. Every day we're helping others see who they are in Christ and helping
them become who God created them to be. And we're helping each other grow in our faith and in our lives along the way.
We love what we do, whom we do it with, and whom we do it for. This isn't an easy path, and we're stretched by huge goals and a very fast pace. But it's incredibly rewarding.

Who You Are
Southland is looking for a CSS-wielding, user-experience-focused web designer that has experience with responsive layouts and managing content for large sites. You’re someone that not only loves designing for digital mediums, but you have the HTML
the challenge of designing a single site for multiple platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with our Web Developer to support any design or content needs for southlandchristian.org, mysouthland.org, bestteamontheplanet.org, and any other Southland-affiliated sites. You’ll also help lead the charge for the design of
a new, responsive site for southlandchristian.org. In addition to having magical, other-worldly web design skills, you also understand the value of excellent content and believe in the power of a great story. You love staying on the bleeding-edge of technology
and you’ll make recommendations to the Communications Director to help improve any existing online communication outlets. Best of all, you’ll get to work closely with other ministry divisions at Southland to help them develop their web communication strategies.
Be one of the resident web experts and support the various online communication needs of entire organization.
Help in the continued development of our online communication strategy and ensure it aligns with our Communication Standards and the Southland brand.
Design, build, and maintain any secondary Southland sites for special series or events.
Work alongside the Web Developer to manage all online content including the Southland blog and our Daily Devos.
Provide design support for any projects that require a digital or online component.
Manage content and help develop new features for BestTeamOnThePlanet.org—Southland’s internal site for staff.
Be our in-house design expert for the web and make recommendations to the Communications Director that will help Southland stay relevant with current or emerging trends.
Work with the Communications Director to manage our social media outlets and provide design support for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as needed.
If you aren’t familiar with it already, be willing to learn to work and build within the Expression Engine content management system.
