Role Summary: The Director of Worship Arts will provide leadership for the worship ministries of First UMC in alignment with our purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The Director of Worship Arts
is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing the various adult music ministries (choirs/vocalists, hand bells, and orchestra) as well as providing leadership, direction, and support for the worship teams (visual arts, liturgists, worship
support, etc.) in support of our overall purpose.
We are seeking someone with a passion for engaging people of all ages in worship, inviting them into a deeper experience of God’s presence and love through music and the arts. We desire creativity in collaborating on new expressions of worship, incorporating
our traditional heritage with fresh energy and relevance as we move towards offering a wider range of worship experiences.
Ministry Environment: The Director of Worship Arts serves on our Discipleship Team, a collaborative team of staff ministry leaders focused on working in partnership to make disciples of Jesus Christ in a changed and changing world. We strive

Qualifications: Ideally, the Director of Worship Arts will possess formal education (master’s degree preferred) and experience in leading music and worship in a church setting. We require this person to embody a deep commitment to Christ
and possess the following skills:

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding leadership, administrative, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities with flexibility
- Effective communication skills
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual
