Edenton Street is in search of a part-time Director of Contemporary Music (part-time 25 hours per week) who will focus on:

  1. Leading worship during The Gathering worship weekend services
  2. Oversight of band recruitment, management, and discipleship
  3. Working with the Original Campus Pastor (OCP) in executing vision of the Gathering Committee
  4. Cultivating Lives of Worship
  5. Being a team player on a large staff



  • Disciple of Jesus Christ
  • “Team Player” who cooperatively works with clergy, all      staff, musicians and volunteers
  • Strong musical gifts and passion for contemporary      Christian worship
  • Experience playing with and leading bands
  • Demonstrated ability to present effective and      compelling messages to individuals, groups, and the congregation in formal      and informal situations
  • Ability to connect with people who live, work, and play      in downtown Raleigh and the greater Triangle
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, Planning Center Online,      and ProPresenter as well as the ability and desire to learn new systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to      collaboratively work with persons of diverse ages and backgrounds
  • Must be available to work a flexible part-time schedule      with consistent office hours and events when scheduled; Sundays required



  • Three+ years of related experience working in the field of contemporary worship  leadership
  • Experience working on a large church staff committed to a single mission
  • Broad knowledge of diverse styles of music and contemporary practices of Christian worship
  • Demonstrated success leading, managing, and working with diverse groups
