Aletheia Jr. Director [Children’s Ministry]


This can be filled by male or female and is not a pastoral role.

Attributes and Qualifications ::

  • Follower of Jesus
  • Mission Member at Aletheia Tampa
  • Passion for children and pointing them to Jesus
  • Able to create and cast vision clearly for ministry
  • Able to lead teams with large number of volunteers and participants
  • Administrative and able to organize volunteers to allow them to point children to Jesus
  • Able to help create and implement the vision of pointing Aletheia Jr. to Jesus 
  • Able to adapt children’s ministry in ever changing environments and growing numbers of kids 
  • Able to train/work with/lead volunteers and interact with parents
  • Possess conflict resolution abilities and high spiritual maturity
  • Strong listening skills

Oversight and Essential Functions ::


  • Work with assistant directors, classroom leads, teachers to continually adapt and strengthen Aletheia Jr.
  • Implement vision to modify and change kids environment to adapt to growing number of kids and ages 
  • Help to develop avenues for the church to equip parents to point their kids to Jesus
  • Work to attain and develop curriculum for age groups that will most effectively point kids to Jesus 
  • Help to structure, modify and utilize kids space to most effectively and safely point kids to Jesus
  • Strategize and create systems that allow for future growth 
  • Work with pastors and leaders to create/grow youth ministry

Classroom Leads

  • Develop and train leadership for each classroom
  • Oversee classroom leads through weekly communication, monthly check-ins and quarterly meetings
  • Collaborate with leads to develop and share best practices
  • Work with leads to improve classroom experience in order to better serve the children and families
  • Monitor leads service – ensure balance in serving
  • Ensure leads are connected to community and are being equipped for ministry in partnership with Aletheia’s shepherding plans


  • Create / maintain systems to bring structure / order to ministry
  • Recruit and cast vision for people to serve in Aletheia Jr.
  • Contact and connect people who show a desire to serve in Aletheia Jr. 
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and share best practices
  • Organize volunteers to most effectively point kids to Jesus in each age group 
  • Coordinate scheduling of those who volunteer 
  • Monitor volunteer service – ensure balance in serving
  • Ensure volunteers are plugged into community and are being equipped for ministry in partnership with Aletheia’s shepherding plans
  • Structure volunteers to best meet the needs of the ministry

Status: Full-Time Salaried, Non-Exempt
Hours: 40+ hrs/week

Reports to: Executive pastor & elder team
Direct Reports: Associate Aletheia Jr. Director & classroom leads
