Job Description:

Summit Church is a dynamic and growing 800-member (1200 at Easter) community of believers located in what is currently the number one sought out area to live in America--approximately 15 miles south of downtown Denver, Colorado in Centennial, CO. Summit currently has three worship services (2 on Sunday morning and 1 midweek service on Wednesday evening). Currently, the youth (High school and middle school) meet on Sunday evenings for worship, fun and teaching and on Wednesday evenings in smaller settings (Lifegroups).

The Student Leader will have overall responsibility to shepherd, disciple, lead, develop and coordinate the Student Ministry of the church. Work closely with Lead Pastor to ensure his vision and purposes of Reaching those far from God, Raising them up in Christ, and Releasing them for His mission are fully realized.

Summit Church desires to help people find and follow God.  Today’s youth are further from God than at any other point in history. In a time when they are told to center their life on their desires and push off their commitment to God, we want to prepare them for their next stage of life by helping them center their life on Jesus.

Summit is looking for a student leader who will guide and coordinate the ministry for Jr. and Sr. High. The candidate must demonstrate a track record of wins in Student Ministry, a history of sustained leadership, high-level communication skills, ability to empower others, and readiness to grow in their role with the continued expansion of our church.

The Student Leader will be responsible for leading our team of two to three Student Ministry Interns as well as a host of volunteer leaders. We want them to create spiritual environments where our values are experienced and replicated.

Before applying, please ensure you meet the following requirements:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution or commensurate marketplace experience.
-At least three years experience as primary leader in a group that has grown to over 50, preference given to experience in large or multi-site church environments.
