Job Description:

The Pastor/Director of Youth Ministries and Recreation will have the unique opportunity to care for, shepherd, lead, influence, teach and make known the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those within our community with a concentration of those 18 years and younger, through traditional and nontraditional forms of ministries.  Additionally, this individual will be a highly visible member of our campus ministry team and instrumental in the development of our multisite community.




Youth Ministries:

  • Champion and embody the mission of the church - to develop followers of Christ - and the vision of our youth ministries.
  • Lead, develop, and steward current ministries staff and volunteers - Children's (Infant - 5th Grade) and Student Ministries (6th and 12th Grade) at our Robinson Campus.
  • Work with the Director of Children's Ministries and Director of Student Ministries from our South Hills campus to coordinate and/or develop content to be taught throughout the year.
  • Oversee staff and volunteer schedules.
  • Plan and promote ministry events and meetings.
  • Personally follow-up with new visitors and reach out to past visitors.
  • Envision and plan Outreach opportunities for our community and families, specific for our multisite community, along with providing support and direction for our One-Church initiatives.
  • Create a communication channel to inform and resource parents in their ministry to their children.
  • Prepare monthly ministry reports.
  • Continually recruit, train, and release leaders to engage in the lives of our children and students.
  • Manage Youth Ministry annual budget.
  • Most importantly, be present in the lives of our children, students, parents, and leaders ...Seek opportunities to meet outside of scheduled ministry times to meet one-on-one or in small groups.


  • Create new and implement current sporting opportunities for children and youth to enjoy sports in a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sports Ministry from our South Hills campus to coordinate Upward Sport Leagues for Basketball, Football, and Cheerleading, along with specialty camps.
  • Recruit and train coaches and referee's to make a positive impact in a child's life.
  • Plan and promote sport ministry events within our community, along with a communication strategy to invite all participants to church.
  • Schedule and design award ceremonies at the end of every season - one of our best opportunities to present the Gospel.
  • Manage the recreation budget and prepare a montly report.


  • Bachelor's Degree and formal theological training is desired.
  • A Follow of Jesus Christ who has a conviction to share Jesus with others.
  • A Disciple-maker who has a passion for seeing youth come to know Jesus and intense desire to see them grow in Jesus.
  • A Leader, this position will require someone with strong leadership skills who has the ability to recognize, mentor, and develop other leaders - students, volunteers, and staff who will report to them.
  • An enjoyment of sport and a minimum of three years with a public ministry service.
  • Agreement with The Bible Chapel core values and beliefs.


This position reports directly to the Campus Pastor in Robinson, with regular interaction with Directors of Children's, Student, and Sports ministries from the South Hills.
