Job Description:

Foster City Campus High School Pastor – Job Description

CPC is a thriving multi-campus church on the San Francisco Peninsula. The San Francisco Bay Area is one of the least churched areas in the US and by God’s Grace, CPC has grown to almost 3000 people. Our mission is “to make and mature more followers of Christ.” We’re looking for a High School Pastor who is ready to communicate the Gospel to a diverse, progressive, sophisticated and technology-rich area. The right person for this role will be someone who has a desire to shape culture and invest in the lives of high school students.

The High School Pastor will design and build an effective High School Ministry (HSM) that attracts high school students and integrates them into the life and mission of CPC. This individual will be focused on both the evangelistic and discipleship growth of the ministry. The ministry is poised for growth, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and mold it within the broader vision of the church. It is our desire to see HSM grow and serve, not only within the walls of the church, but also outside in the community in an outreach capacity. The right leader will think strategically about evangelistic growth of HSM, while continually developing adult leaders and equipping them to build successful relationships with students and their parents. They will also contribute to seamlessly bridge students from HSM to involvement in the life of our church body.

They will have a strong, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. They will be a proven team player and team builder who focuses on the good of CPC. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent ministry experience (a master’s degree is a plus). They will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the un-churched with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention of new students. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as the point leader working in a local church Student Ministry of 75 students or more. They will have an outgoing personality and be a leader of leaders. They will be an effective communicator in large and small settings. Multi-site experience is desired but not required.
