  • We dream of a church that is inspired by the Spirit of God and grounded in the Truth of His Word
  • We dream of a church whose members are actively living out what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ
  • We dream of a church that is significantly impacting the lives of those living in
    our region
  • We dream of a church that is actively involved in influencing both the church and our culture regionally, nationally, and intentionally.

In 2000, eight families founded Living Water Community Church with a passion of developing a Gospel-centered, multi-ethnic church that looks like the Kingdom of God as described in Revelation 7. Today, Living Water Community Church is a thriving, non-denominational congregation with nearly 1,000 weekly attenders from 20 different nations, located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A church that is intentional about crossing economic, societal and ethnic boundaries in order to introduce people to the transforming power of God’s love, Living Water Community Church is a church whose ministries are geared to equip the entire family.

Over the years, God has poured his blessing out upon the Living Water family. The church continues to grow both numerically and spiritually, and has a strong culture of excellence in blessing God and others before self. Each and every weekend, God draws more and more people to Living Water in the process of drawing them to Himself. Lives are being changed, spiritual and physical needs are being met, the broken are finding healing, and most importantly men and women, boys and girls are coming to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

The Worship and Creative Arts Pastor for Living Water Community Church will be an experienced worship leader whose heart for worship and compassion to invest in the lives of others is clearly evident in all that he does. The successful candidate will have the ability to read and perform music, along with leading a worship team in song at all adult worship services. The leadership of Living Water Community Church believes wholeheartedly that the Worship and Creative Arts Pastor will be a leader whose calling and character will be one that others seek to follow, and that this position’s success is dependent on his commitment to worship competency, and not simply musical entertainment.

In addition to leading worship at Living Water, the Worship and Creative Arts Pastor will have responsibility to lead the visual, sound, and artisan ministries of Living Water. Past ministries have included community coffeehouses featuring musical, visual, and performing artists from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, as well as an ongoing Artist of the Month display at the church.  With the continued growth of the church, a passion for optimizing the sound and technical ministry will be a critical success factor for this position.

While education is not a predetermining factor in the selection of a new Worship and Creative Arts Pastor, the successful candidate must be one who has demonstrated 4-5 years of professional development and oversight in full-time worship ministry. A bachelor and/or masters degree from an accredited Bible college, seminary or university could be preferred.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working and leading worship in a ministry setting that is multi-cultural and multi-generational. The candidate will have had experience as an effective leader of mid-size to large worship bands and teams, and a demonstrated ability to handle the responsibility of providing vision and mobilizing both volunteers and leaders in a church of 1,500 attendees or more. The successful Worship and Creative Arts Pastor candidate must be able to play the keyboard or guitar (being able to play multiple instruments is a plus), audition, and develop other musicians, and have experience leading production, technical and media ministry staff members.

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s state capitol is perhaps best known for its assortment of historic museums and a nice waterfront strip along the Susquehanna River. It is conveniently located 1.5 hours from Baltimore, 2 hours from Philadelphia/Washington D.C., and a mere 3 hour drive or train ride from New York City. Strategically intersecting between routes 81, 83, and 76, Harrisburg offers a unique stopping point for Mid-Atlantic travelers. Beyond downtown, residential and industrial areas spread across the river into Camp Hill and Mechanicsburg to the west, and the resort town of Hershey, PA to the east. Harrisburg is experiencing a significant development in arts, culture, and urban improvement, particularly in the city's Midtown district.  The city is now a vibrant hub for young families, featuring a low cost of living close to major metropolitan areas. U.S. News and World Report recently named Harrisburg in the Top 25 Best Places to Live in the U.S.
