qualified candidates for the role of Operation/Facilities Director.
As a church that will celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, we have grown to a point that we need someone to assume day-to-day leadership of our campus operations. Well-located within the heart of the Cinco Ranch community in Katy, Texas,
Grace Fellowship UMC attracts a broad spectrum of seekers, new believers, and mature Christians. We long to reach our area (and beyond) for Christ.
Working closely with the Executive Pastor, we are looking for a leader who recognizes the integral role that operations and facilities management plays in any successful ministry initiative. You will bring an expanded focus to operations and facilities
management, helping us create and maintain a first-class campus. We want a team player who understands how critical it is for the campus operations team to be the “leaders behind the scenes”, ensuring that every area of ministry on the Grace Fellowship campus
is positioned for success.
We are looking for someone with a healthy Christian walk and spiritual disciplines. The ideal candidate has strong people and leadership skills (you will be leading a staff team, plus acting as the liaison with staff and volunteer leaders in multiple ministry
areas), is a team player, has both the desire and ability to serve others,
has several years of direct experience in the area of facilities/operations management (church or secular),
a true passion for the local church, highly organized, and will be energized by the church’s vision. Experience in multi-site campuses will be a plus. This is a “roll your sleeves up” role, where the best candidate will, from time-to-time, gladly
get their hands dirty when needed to serve the team.
Some specific abilities we are looking for include: experience in dealing with major construction projects, building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, structural, etc.), know how to read a set of plans, negotiate a service contract, a solid
understanding of budgeting and finances, and the ability to effectively work with a diverse set of staff, volunteers and vendors/contractors.
You don’t have to currently be United Methodist; you do need to have the right experience, a love for people, a heart attuned to reaching the lost, a healthy spiritual walk, a “get it done” attitude, and a desire to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
