Job Description:

The Harvest IT Department currently has a full-time opening for a Web Developer. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills, back-end development experience using the PHP language, and front-end experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. (Candidates with significant knowledge of only back-end or front-end development may also be considered.)


At least four years of development experience is preferred, and knowlege in the following areas is strongly desired (but all are not required):

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Zend Framework 2 (or other PHP frameworks, especially MVC-bsed)
  • Git (or other version control systems)
  • Responsive Web Development
  • jQuery (in addition to vanilla JavaScript)
  • Web Services
  • Database architecture and design
Additional skills that are beneficial to this position include:
  • Linux systems administration
  • Copywriting
  • Graphics optimization or design experience
  • Wireframing and prototyping
  • Project management
  • E-mail marketing

This position is part of a highly-collaborative, multi-disciplined team including front-end and back-end development, design, systems administration, and marketing. The team environment is casual and values individual contribution.
