Job Description:

Fellowship of the Rockies is looking for an Impact Pastor who is called to serve and lead our congregation to impact Fellowship, Pueblo and the world. We value calling, culture, character, competency, and chemistry since they are critical to the success of the church. We believe that Impact Ministry is more than just taking mission trips in the name of Jesus. Impact Ministries is about helping individuals use their gifts to serve where they are called.


The Impact Pastor will serve on the Growth Team and under the supervision of the Growth Pastor.


Principle Function


To enlist, equip and empower leaders and Ministry Partners for Impact Ministry (Fellowship of the Rockies, Pueblo area, and the world) and help Christians become more engaged in building Christ’s Kingdom



  1. Must be biblically sound with high moral character and leadership ability
  2. Must have a pattern of effective leadership in the church and have the relational ability to build a team of ministers
  3. Must possess a holistic view of discipleship that goes beyond personal devotion to include spiritual transformation, discovering a person’s ministry and engaging in building the Kingdom
  4. Must have passion and skills to lead the church in local and global (glocal) missions
  5. Must display the ability/track record of being a team player
  6. Must have a passion for helping people take next steps as a follower of Christ
  7. Must possess strong communication skills – both in speaking and writing
  8. Must be in full agreement with the Essential Beliefs of Fellowship of the Rockies     





1. Develop and maintain a system of follow up with those who complete The Journey (membership class), so they are assisted in taking next steps to serve in some ministry at Fellowship of the Rockies, and/or outside the four walls of our church in a local ministry that is in partnership with our church (Building the Kingdom)

  • Completing membership steps, if needed
  • Completing steps to be qualified for specific ministries, as they are interested
  • Helping people move to new areas of ministry when their present area is not a fit

2. Coordinate with all ministries to maintain a current database of ministry needs


3. Communicate regularly with all ministries and leaders as to who is available to become a Ministry Partner in their area


4. Enlist, equip and empower Deacons as Ministry Leaders to effectively lead all aspects of Guest Experience (Ushers, Greeters, Information Hosts, etc.) for weekend services and events


5. Oversee the F.O.R. Security Team and all paid security personnel



1. Establish guidelines for local partnerships that will allow our church to minister in alignment with our vision


2. Responsible for building relationships in the community, identifying needs and discovering new partnerships that will allow our church to have a greater spiritual impact in our city and community


3. Maintain healthy relationships with the local entities with which we currently partner


4. Enlist, equip and empower leaders for an effective local missions ministry (IMPACT Pueblo)


5. Assist leaders in staffing and equipping people for their ministry teams



1. Establish guidelines for North American and international partnerships that will allow our church to minister in alignment with our vision


2. Responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with North American and international missionaries in order to involve our congregation in global missions


3. Enlist, equip and empower leaders for an effective global missions ministry (IMPACT the world)


4. Assist leaders in staffing and equipping people for their ministry teams



1. Assist the Growth Pastor, as needed, with follow-up from Connect Cards and The Journey to help people determine the next steps in their spiritual journey


2. Assist the Senior Pastor and other pastoral staff with preaching duties, weddings and funerals as assigned


3. Supervise the work of any paid staff members as assigned


4. Perform other duties as assigned
