The Senior Pastor is to love God's Word and love God's people. As missional leader, the Senior Pastor will lead the church by word and example to love God supremely and to love others sacrificially. In fulfilling his role, the Senior Pastor will preach God's Word with power and clarity, shepherd God's people with love and compassion, and lead Christ's church with wisdom, humility, and a teachable spirit.  This position provides an opportunity to guide a welcoming, already aligned church and take it to the next missional level locally as well as further their global impact.

  • Direct and embody senior leadership and general oversight of the church, ministering to and serving the congregation for the sake of Christ
  • Lead the church by word and example to love God supremely and to love others sacrificially
  • Prepare and preach weekly sermons that are Biblically based, expository, theologically informed and practical for life application
  • Plan creatively with the Pastor of Worship to effectively coordinate the message and the worship Craft, in concert with the Elders, the church's vision and continue to keep the vision before the staff and congregation to motivate toward its fulfillment
  • Develops and advises the pastoral team and elders to further the vision of the church’s ministry Work closely with the Executive Pastor and the Director of Operations to ensure that the ministry is being done in harmony with the mission, values and vision
  • Live out a life of disciplemaking at home and in the community, with believers and unbelievers
  • Meet regularly with the staff to affirm and encourage them in their work
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for the Executive Pastor and Director of Operations
  • Provide pastoral counsel, do visitation, conduct weddings and funerals, as appropriate


  • Minimum of four-year degree from an accredited University or College; seminary graduate preferred
  • Relevant church-based ministry experience that includes preaching/teaching; preferred experience with a multi-site ministry setting
  • Demonstrates growth as a disciple who has given himself to the ministry of the Word and prayer, seeking to walk uprightly before the Lord in his personal life while seeking the mind of God on behalf of the congregation
  • Demonstrated ability to present the truth of the Word in an expository, relational, relevant, equipping, teaching style
  • Leadership qualities that enable the church to understand and live out its vision and mission
  • Outstanding listener, as well as being able to communicate in a personable manner, both in services and one on one
  • Healthy family relationships with the ability to balance priorities between home and ministry
  • Commitment to the church's disciplemaking philosophy of ministry and has history of active participation in disciplemaking in the community
  • Possess excellent decision-making skills using the wisdom and discernment empowered by God
  • Team player who knows how to surround himself with strong leaders and manages by example
