SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with Experience

MinisterSearch ( is delighted to present the position of Network Worship Pastor at this Spirit-filled, multi-site church of 2000+. With several additional campuses already, this church has the Kingdom vision to transform rural communities for the cause of Christ.


The church is committed to seeing souls transformed by the love of Christ, so the Worship Pastor will have a demonstrated history in leading a Worship and Creative Arts Team that ministers out of a passion for people, realizing that their spiritual growth should be of paramount concern. They will teach that, while musical prowess or performance has merit, it is not the end goal; but rather, it is to individually and collectively exalt God, building up and encouraging those that God has entrusted into their care.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Worship Director with responsibility of leading, instructing, and pastoring a worship arts team is required. The right candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s Degree is preferred. 


The church is located in the Rockford area of Illinois and boasts quiet living among friendly, caring, good people! This region offers the best of both worlds: the feel of small-town rural but close to several of the Midwest’s largest cities--providing people with myriad options for culture and leisure activities. The church is just a short 45-minute drive from Rockford, Illinois and only 2 hours from Chicago or Madison, Wisconsin. You have close access to shopping opportunities, museums, theaters and concert venues, professional sporting events, as well as a wide variety of restaurant options.


The area boasts beautiful parks, golf courses, and extensive bike, ATV and snowmobile trails. Lakes and rivers provide opportunities for fishing and water sports.   • Work closely with Lead Pastor to ensure his vision and purpose for the weekend worship experience is fully realized
  • Lead worship at the majority of this campus's services
  • Implement and continue developing policies for the Worship Ministry
  • Teach, lead, mold, grow, and shepherd all volunteers in the worship ministry
  • Recruit, train, provide oversight and schedule Praise and Worship Teams, including Team Leaders, instrumentalists, vocalists and Technical Support Teams (lighting, media/video, sound, staging)
  • Ensure that those serving in the Worship Ministry are experiencing team atmosphere and true biblical community as a small group
  • Provide regular communication with Praise and Worship Teams, including Team Leaders, instrumentalists, vocalists and Technical Support Teams (lighting, media/video, sound, staging), informing them of upcoming events, outside training opportunities or helpful advice and suggestions
  • Provide continuing communication with Network regarding alignment of worship experience around ministry themes
  • Resource and encourage Campus Worship Champions by making occasional visits and on-site observations
  • Communicate with the Lead Pastor, Campus Pastor and Ministry Coordinators about upcoming events, current ministry progress and assessment of needs
  • Submit and administrate an annual budget for the Worship Ministry
  • Report to the Lead Pastor


  • BA degree in Music Arts or Music Education from an accredited Christian college/university; Master of Music degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' practical experience as a Worship Pastor/Director of a thriving Worship Arts program
  • Ability to oversee the Worship Ministry within a Campus Network
  • Demonstrated ability and passion as a pastor and shepherd to the Worship Arts team—creating a feel of “togetherness”
  • Spiritual leader with the ability to encourage and coach worship arts members while developing solid musical and artistic content and presentation
  • Strong, proven teaching skills in all areas of worship arts to include leading and instructing instrumentalists, vocalists, and technical support teams
  • Solid communication and administrative skills
  • Ability to arrange and transpose music and use all relevant software
