Job Description:

Rock Bridge Community Church,, is actively seeking a full-time Dalton Campus Student Minister.  Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, work well within the organizational structure of Rock Bridge, and have the ability to provide leadership in planning, conducting and evaluating a Christ-centered ministry to middle and high school students. The candidate must also be a humble and teachable team member.


Job Description:


Dalton Student Minister:  

To glorify God by connecting students from all walks of life to life in Christ by providing leadership in planning, conducting and evaluating a Christ-centered ministry to middle and high school students.

Reports to the Multi-Campus Director


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the church’s ministry to students in grades 6-12 based on the Church’s vision.

  • Recruit, train, enlist, equip and empower volunteers for Student Ministry.

  • Build strong mentoring relationships with students, parents and volunteers.

  • Be primary communicator for The Link at the Dalton Campus.

  • Be active and involved in community youth activities.

  • Perform various administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the Student Ministry.

  • Oversee the connection of new students into the life of the church.

  • With oversight with Ministry Campus Director, ensure all teaching content is biblical and relevant, and ensure it’s effective presentation to students.

  • Execute the discipleship strategies, and their effective implementation.

  • Manage ministry budget.

  • Engage students into volunteering in Rock Bridge ministries as a part of their discipleship.

  • Oversee the execution of ministries at the campus in accordance with the I.P.O.D. plan and ministry philosophy.


Key Results Areas:

  • Huddle with volunteers 2-4 times per year for encouragement, coaching, & vision casting.

  • Meet one on one 3-5 times per month with various leaders and volunteers.

  • Ensure weekly volunteer meetings take place for vision, encouragement and relevant coaching and instruction.

  • Champion local H.O.P.E. efforts with Student Ministry participation, at least every other month.

  • Attend 2 - 4 student community activities per month.

  • Meet 3 - 5 times per month with students outside of The Link.


Personal Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the Rock Bridge value of “striving for excellence” in witness, example,
    service to others, and worship of God; scripturally, this is defined as living “above reproach” (I Timothy 3:2).

  • Follow a consistent rhythm marked by “be” time and practicing the spiritual accelerators.

  • Give at least 10% of income to Rock Bridge and participate in all special offerings

  • Continually seek to understand and embody the Rock Bridge “DNA” (Mission statement + Guiding Values).
