Job Description:

First United Methodist seeks a worship leader who can sense the presence of God and draw others into that presence. Must be a team player and a team builder who is energetic, creative and organized. Nestled in the resurging downtown area of Siloam Springs it is one of the most sought after places to live in one of the fastest growing parts of the country.

 

Primary responsibilities include the planning, oversight, and implementation of all ministries related to adult worship in keeping with a Wesleyan understanding of Christian discipleship and nurture. The successful candidate will exhibit the highest standards of moral character and personal piety, be knowledgeable of the Bible, have the ability to cast a vision for worship music ministry, and be able to work effectively with both staff and volunteers.

 

Qualifications include worship leadership experience, the ability to lead in both a contemporary and traditional setting, the capacity to lead from a guitar or keyboard, and experience with choral music and directing. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

 

Siloam Springs is a part of the metropolitan area of Northwest Arkansas that includes more than 500,000 residents. The area is home to John Brown University, the University of Arkansas and Fortune 500 companies J.B. Hunt, Tyson Foods, and Walmart. It is thirty minutes away from the home of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals baseball team; the world-class Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art; the Walton Art Center which hosts off Broadway plays and concerts, and some of the best hunting, fishing, and hiking that the Natural State has to offer.
