Job Description:

This is a full-time position involved in all aspects of the ministry; reports to the Next Gen Director. The CMC serves as part of the ministry’s leadership team while also supervising part-time staff. Ministry Responsibilities A major part of the CMC’s responsibilities include, but may not be limited to these alone: General Duties  Work schedule is typically Sundays (8:00am to 12:30pm), Monday to Thursday (8:00am to 5:30pm), Fridays and Saturdays off. This is flexible depending on events, trainings, etc.  Meet with Next Gen Director weekly to review the past week and go over coming week.  Attend staff meetings (2nd/4 th Tuesdays of the month); may be subject to change.  In addition to Sunday “duties,” this position requires being available for special events for children and parents and the Annual Dinner program. Administration Assist the Next Gen Director with the following, but not limited to, administrative needs:  Developing/maintaining a welcoming, child-friendly and safe environment.  Development of staffing & curriculum for children ministry.  Maintain proper materials levels in classrooms, distribute weekly materials, check equipment regularly. Maintain proper classroom signage.  Post announcements and events info on The City. Ministry Supervision Assist the Next Gen Director with supervision of ministry to children through:  Sprouts (part time childcare staff) and Summerville Interns.  Development and implementation of training the Disciplers and Specialists.  Special events, such as Chat n Chew Parties, Summerville, Annual Dinner, and more. Ministry Qualifications  Must have a heart for children and a calling from the Lord to minister to them.  Must be committed to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord through regular worship, fellowship (home groups), and prayer.  Must be teachable, willing to be in a discipleship relationship with the Next Gen Director and/or other ministry leaders, which includes a lifestyle of biblical purity and integrity.  Good communication skills, judgment, and flexibility are essential.  Self-starter: can take on a task/project with minimal direction, but not afraid to ask for help.  This position requires at least a college degree.  Computer skills needed: word, spreadsheet, e-mail. Graphic design not required, but a plus.  Need to be comfortable around people, willing and able to converse on many levels.  This position requires an ability to exert a great amount of energy, strength and fortitude.
