Job Description:

We are looking for someone who loves the Lord and has a sense of calling to minister to elementary-aged children and their families as the full-time Elementary Program Manager. CPC is a church of around 2,000 members in the valley outside the East Bay of San Francisco. It is a multi-generational church that has seen many new families join in the last five years with a vibrant culture around our ministry to children and students and a commitment to prioritize becoming an Intergenerational community. CPC joined the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in 2014 from the PC-USA.


The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate strong leadership skills and team management as well as take initiative at further building a team to care for our elementary-aged children. We are looking for someone who will strive for excellence in worship service programming while being relationally invested in the ministry and care for these children, their families, and the volunteers serving in the ministry.


Primary Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this position is to manage weekend/midweek programs and related activities for elementary aged children (TK - 4th garde); including volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and staffing of all elementary programs. This position manages additional program support staff. This individual will be responsible for the training and implementation of all safety procedures and will develop all curriculum needs such as editing, review, and create programs to help children begin to know Jesus and grow as His disciples. Position will assist, whenever needed, in the day-to-day operations of the Children's Ministries Department.
