Job Description:

Position Summary:

          Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of GFC middle school ministry (7th-8th Grade) as well as assist the Student Pastor in the execution of GFC high school ministry.


Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the middle school volunteer team
  • Plan and execute middle school large group gatherings and events
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of middle school discussion groups (in conjunction with the Student Ministry Coordinator)
  • Serve as the primary teacher for Middle School student ministry and teach on occasion in other environments such as High School and Vertical
  • Collaborate with Student Ministry Coordinator for communication with Middle School families
  • Serve as the supervisor for initiatives and processes inside of middle school ministry
  • Collaborate with Student Pastor in formation of annual Student Ministry Budget
  • Collaborate with the Student Pastor and Student Ministry Coordinator in a team-based ministry environment
  • Assist the Student Pastor in the execution of High School ministry as well as student ministry-wide initiatives
  • Participate in annual ministry planning for Student Ministries
  • Assist the Student Pastor in the development and execution of Grace College Ministry
  • Additional responsibilities of oversight based upon gifting, passion and capacity to expand this role


Job Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with student ministry staff, volunteers, and parents
  • Experience in a student ministry role (part-time or full-time)
  • Effective communicator in large group and informal settings
  • Effective Bible teacher
  • Experience in event planning and execution
  • Team Player and team builder

  • Passion for ministry to students and their families
  • Pursuit of a theology degree
