Technical Supervisor – Gardens Campus


Family Church is one church in seven locations and two languages on mission to help families discover and pursue God’s design. Whether you are single, married, divorced, young, old or somewhere in between, we have a place for you to connect.  We know that the use of technology as it relates to sound, video, stage design, and lighting plays a large role in creating an environment where people can participate in an extraordinary worship experience.  Our view and vision for tech reaches far beyond the Sanctuary and worship experience into the lives of our volunteers and the way that we as a church interact with the community through missions, outreach and spreading the gospel.




To help families discover and pursue God’s design.





       - To support the ministry of Family Church by recruiting, leading, administrating, and coordinating the Production Teams for Family Church Gardens
       - To provide leadership, encouragement, development and accountability to and for the volunteer leaders and staff of the areas under his or her responsibility
       - Assist the Supervisor of Technical Services in administering, installing and repairing all A/V/L equipment across all campuses in the Family Church Network
       - Recruit and train volunteers to serve on the production team
       - Take initiative and ownership of all job responsibilities

       - This position is full time with benefits

       - 40-55 hours a week average.  During Easter, Christmas and Campus Launches, time required will be more than the regular contractual hours.



  1. Directly accountable to the Supervisor of Technical Services.




  1. Must have proven godly character.
  2. Must be a dynamic individual with the ability and skills to represent Family Church with integrity.


  1. Must exhibit adequate technical skill and knowledge in the areas of audio engineering, video production, theatrical and concert lighting, service production as well as large scale A/V/L installations.
  2. Required Education and/or Training: A Bachelor’s Degree in Production, Theatre, Communication, Music or a related field from an accredited college or university; or has equivalent work experience.

Chemistry: Must be committed to the Family Church vision and approach to ministry.


Culture: High challenge, fast changing, results oriented, sacrificial, fiscally responsible, outward focused, others-centered.


Calling: Must demonstrate being called to do this ministry.




     1.  Maintain a personal walk with Christ.

          - Maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by practicing the spiritual disciplines


     2.  Lead and supervise the FC Gardens Production Team and its subsequent ministries.


             A.  Support and develop the Production-related ministries:

                  - Audio

                  - Video

                  - Lighting and Stage Design

                  - Multimedia

                  - Setup/Teardown

            B.   Oversee the training and spiritual development of your team leaders and members.

                  - Recruit and train volunteers to serve on the production team

                  - Facilitate devotionals and prayer at any meetings or rehearsals


     3.    Coordinate and produce weekly services.

              - Facilitate technical needs for all rehearsals

              - Oversee execution of stage design & setup as well as teardown before and after services and/or rehearsals where needed

              - Train all appropriate technical staff for services and special events in accordance with Family Church Production and operation guidelines

              - Schedule all necessary technical staff/volunteers for services and special events

              - Oversee the production of all services and special events

              - Give special attention and preparation to technical elements for big days

              - Be on time and prepared for each and every service and special event

     4.   Oversee installation and maintenance of all technical equipment throughout the facility including light I.T.

              - Create and execute a maintenance plan for all equipment

              - Repair any damage or non-functional equipment in a timely manner

              - minor I.T. such as maintenance of computers and providing some assistance to I.T. Supervisor

              - Conduct annual inventory of equipment

              - Exhibit good stewardship in maintenance and repair

              - Execute the annual budget with care, being cognizant of overall costs and financial bottom line

     5.   Assist the Supervisor of Technical Services in installing, administering, maintaining and repairing all A/V/L equipment across all Family Church campuses.

              - Responsible for care and maintenance across all campuses

              - Responsible for launching new campuses and any installation or maintenance required

              - Assist in oversight of volunteer teams including training and discipleship
