Monroe Center Community Church:  Youth Pastor

 

Vision and Objective:

You are invited to join the pastoral team, church staff, and congregation in creating a healthy, missional, God-honoring community of faith. Within that larger work, you will focus on equipping and empowering Middle and High school students and their families to a deep, active, personal, and growing faith in Jesus Christ.

 

Life with God

  • Be in a committed relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Be committed to God’s church, equipping those in the church for spiritual growth and service.
  • Relate with Christians and non-Christians in a loving way consistent with scripture.

 

Middle School and High School Student Ministry

I.              
Students

  • Equip students through modeling, teaching, relationships, and experiences to live out their faith in Jesus in their families, schools, and other environments.
  • Encourage students to develop a heart for service
  • Create a Youth Ministry culture…that promotes open sharing about real life issues ... that emphasizes outreach to friends and those outside the church ...that helps students discover their spiritual gifts and ministry passions...that maintains an element of fun within the program structure where students feel safe.
  • Create a structure of student leadership and mentoring to prepare students for lifelong service in the church and other places God calls them.
  • Provide teaching, resources, and pastoral care for Students to help them develop healthy emotional and spiritual lives. Provide resources for daily discipleship to encourage spiritual growth.

 II.            Parents

  • Provide leadership and vision for Youth Ministry at M.C.C.C.
  • Be responsible for the development and coordination of M.C.C.C. Youth Ministry, doing the everyday tasks like scheduling, budgeting, and programming to achieve the larger goal.
  • Create a Youth Ministry culture that promotes open sharing about real life issues where students feel safe
  • Build relationships with parents and families of those involved in the Youth Ministry.

 III.         Volunteer Leaders

  • Provide leadership and vision for Youth Ministry at M.C.C.C.
  • Be responsible for the development and coordination of  Youth Ministry, doing the everyday tasks like scheduling, budgeting, and programming to achieve the larger goal.
  • Create a Youth Ministry culture…that promotes open sharing about real life issues ... that emphasizes outreach to friends and those outside the church ...that helps students discover their spiritual gifts and ministry passions...that maintains an element of fun within the program structure where students feel safe.
  • Equip and empower adult leaders to serve in Youth Ministry.
  • Grow a structure for volunteer recruitment, program evaluation, and ministry training.
  • Provide teaching, resources, and pastoral care to help them develop healthy emotional and spiritual lives. 
  • Provide resources for daily discipleship to encourage spiritual growth.

  

Staff and All Church Ministry

  • Participate in assigned staff meetings
  • Periodically participate in Saturday Night and Sunday Worship in ways consistent with your gifts and as needed.
  • Maintain good working and personal relationships with church staff, getting help when needed, confronting when necessary, and protecting reputations.
  • Be accountable to the Executive Pastor
