We are looking for a someone who can move our growing Children's ministry to bring as many kids and families to hear and see Jesus. "We have no greater joy than to see our children walking in the Gospel" (3 John 1:4). To accomplish
this, we need someone who is dynamic, energetic, and a team player. We want someone who has a heart and vision for the kids and families in our neighborhood and community. We need someone who can recruit, empower, and release a volunteer team of over 200 adults
and teens to share the Gospel, weekly, through our program. We are looking for someone that has a history of recruiting and training volunteers, partnering with families, working closely with a Student Life team from cradle to college, and has experience and
intimate knowledge of the Orange Curriculum. We seek someone who can take our fresh vision for our Student Ministries to connect and influence families to be Spiritual Champions in the lives of their children.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Student Life Pastor
PURPOSE: To serve the church by directing, shepherding, serving, partnering, recruiting, and thriving for a Gospel-centered Children’s Ministry program in order to get as many children and families to hear and see Jesus.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enrich and implement our bible-based curriculum with age-appropriate activities and manipulatives for the Children’s Ministry programs
Administer the work of the Department of the Children’s Ministry by fostering teamwork and mutual support and providing leadership and nurture to staff members who work within the department
Oversee SLM events (VBS, Parent’s Night Out, and similar Children’s programs) and work with the SLM team to implement an engaging and age-appropriate program that focuses on bringing as many children and families to hear and see Jesus
Establish departmental goals and objectives by prioritizing related programs, managing the use of facilities, planning an appropriate budget, delegating tasks, and evaluation progress regularly
Seek to partner with teachers and parents to be the spiritual champions in children’s lives.
Communicate with staff and parents, equipping them with spiritual development opportunities, artistic and musical opportunities, meetings, and training
Work with the Student Life Ministries (SLM) team in the supervision of the Student Life Administrative Assistants
Work with Arcade staff and leaders in carrying out the ministry of Arcade Church
Recruit, train, inspire, and motivate volunteers and future volunteers for leadership in Children’s Ministries programs
Further personal and professional development and programming opportunities through classes, conferences, training, brainstorming, and resources
