Northridge is dedicated to ‘meeting’ each attendee in their journey through empowering worship, powerful talks, community Bible studies, and range of ministries. The 16-word mission is a laser-focused refresh of what the church has been about for years. Today, the ministry of NorthRidge Church continues to grow in impact and influence, flooding its surrounding communities with a fresh culture of faith through its seven services across four locations in the Plymouth, Michigan, area.


NorthRidge Church is searching for a Director of Marketing and Communications that will effectively direct the church’s overall marketing and strategic planning programs and corporate communications. This position will facilitate member, attendee, and donor development through marketing and related services programs. This individual will oversee and implement the church’s brand messaging, and ensure the accuracy of its delivery by producing each element with creativity and consistency. They will offer their expertise by creating a renewed perspective and culture for marketing and communications at NorthRidge. They will take ownership of this area by being responsible for implementing and producing content in line with the DNA of the church that relates to the congregation in an inter-generational way. Furthermore, this position will collaborate with each staff department to develop a comprehensive communications strategy, while being exclusively responsible for all communication components relating to and across all campuses.


The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with the ability to navigate well within multifaceted elements of the organization. They will demonstrate strong analytical skills and an attention to detail that is vital for content editing/proofing. Their attention to accuracy and thoroughness will be reflected through the development and coordination of projects. Additionally, they will possess polished presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with a comprehensive knowledge of marketing and communication software programs. 


The successful candidate will possess a gift of Administration, a college degree (a marketing, business, or communications concentration is preferred) with at least five years in a Marketing Director type role within a professional services environment. Strong leadership and consensus building skills are vital to the successful execution of roles and responsibilities of this position. A solid background in marketing management and strategic planning experience, complemented with a proven track record in developing and administering a marketing program is highly desirable. A background in large church or ministry marketing is a plus.


The city of Plymouth is located in Wayne County in the state of Michigan.
