As faithful followers of Jesus Christ, The Church of St. John the Divine is dedicated to Changing Lives for God in Christ.

With over 4,000 members, St. John’s is one of the most prominent congregations in the Episcopal Church. Under the leadership of the Rev. Clay Lein, a compelling Bible-centered teacher-preacher and former church planter, and having entered a new phase of growth, St. John’s operates under the principle, “the best is yet to come.”

It is with this belief that St. John's expectantly looks for its next Director of Student Ministries.

They seek someone who can take advantage of the church's strategic location between two significant high schools to develop a program that starts in the world of kids and systematically and relationally develops them into Christian leaders.

An ideal candidate for this position will be a high-capacity Director of Student Ministries who is a strong communicator of the Gospel with students, builds adult volunteer teams, develops ecumenical partnerships (Young Life, Boy Scouts), and resources parents to pass on faith to their teens.

In addition to the aforementioned traits, they are looking for a called individual with the leadership and administrative skills necessary to execute the operational elements of the position, who is also able to relate authentically to students and parents. The successful candidate for this role must possess a solid background in Christian leader development through a church or a para-church ministry and a bachelor’s degree. Although seminary education is not required, it is preferred.
