Technical Coordinator – Job Description



As Central Peninsula Church (CPC) continues to grow, our technical needs have grown too. Audio, video, media, and lighting are important parts of the experience at CPC. With three campuses and growing needs for technology on Sundays and mid-week ministries, it is time to expand our technical team. The intent of Technical Coordinator will be to support the Technical Director from an operational standpoint and assist on a wide variety of projects. This job is part-time and would require approximately 20 hours per week, including Sundays.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Technical Director in overseeing the audio, video, media, and lighting production for all services at all campuses (e.g., Sundays and mid-week events).

  • Assist in onsite technical support (sound, video, media and lighting) for all ministries.

  • Troubleshoot and initiate onsite repairs of video, sound, lighting equipment under the direction of the Technical Director.

  • Assist in training and overseeing volunteers as needed.

  • Assist in video recording and distribution of services when needed.

  • Upon request, fill in as Tech Crew when needed.

  • Participation in Tuesday worship planning meetings.

  • Other tasks as deemed necessary by the Technical Director.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with pastors, directors, staff, ministry leaders, others in the body, and people in the community.
