LOCATION:  Doylestown, Pennsylvania

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with Experience

Located in a prime spot with a population of almost 115,000 in the immediate area, and close to both Philadelphia and New York City, this church is welcoming, friendly and values being real—about life, relationships, struggles, and faith. They want to be known for what they are for instead of what they are against.


Their worship is excellent and contemporary, with about 1300 attenders weekly. They now have 3 weekend services, are growing, running out of space, and have recently started a building campaign. Although most of the attenders are college educated, they are becoming more diverse and have a great connection with the community. The Sr. Pastor has created an affirming grace-based atmosphere where they celebrate each other's ministries and cooperate as a team for the big picture.


The right person for this position will lead the Student Ministry, being responsible for the evangelism and discipleship of students in grades 7-12. The goal is to offer a ministry for all teenagers that is full of life and draws students into transformational encounters with God.


A stable, family friendly area where people put down roots, there is great potential to minister to the students and families of this area; and the people are accepting and ready to embrace and support their Student Pastor.



  • Oversee and lead Youth Ministry and serve as a key staff member who provides staff leadership for all youth ministries (7-12th grade)  
  • Pursues the mission and vision of the church as it pertains to Youth Ministry, families, and surrounding community
  • Plan events for service, fellowship, outreach and fun with a goal to broaden the youth’s participation of life in the Body of the Church
  • Develop/adopt a purposeful curriculum that is relevant to teenagers
  • Provide opportunities for effective evangelism and ministry to un-churched teenagers in the area
  • Personal mentoring and weekly shepherding of individual teens to bring youth to mature service in youth group, church and in their schools
  • Connect with the students during the week by attending their school functions and other activities that they participate          
  • Recruit, train, and pastor adult volunteer leadership Build and mentor a team of youth volunteers who carry out shepherding discipleship within the ministry
  • Provide additional opportunities for teaching and the ability to nurture youth to become servants themselves
  • Works closely with all other members of the church staff, effectively uniting with and complementing other church ministries


  • Four-year Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a key member in Youth Ministry (para-church or church) that experienced growth in numbers and changed lives.
  • Strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to serve Him
  • Gospel-centered Bible teaching gifts that particularly engage and connect teens through various use of contemporary media
  • Proven ability to successfully recruit volunteer leadership to partner with paid staff in Youth Ministry
  • A demonstrated team player; understand importance of communication throughout the organization as a valuable tool in creating unity
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to communicate with and provide parents resources to assist them in of discipling, nurturing, and connecting with their teens
  • Willingness to receive coaching, outside training and on-the-job training
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
