Job Description:

Tasks Required

Regular communication with the Pastor regarding church administration, organization and management

Maintaining an office presence for church office hours (min. 16 hours/week to start, Mon-Thu 9-1)

Sending communication on behalf of the Pastor and ministry leaders as needed

Managing church calendar

Handling all incoming calls & communication and checking incoming voicemails regularly

  • Ensuring all relevant calls are routed to the appropriate person as necessary

Managing & maintaining attendance membership records and church facility usage calendar in church database

Managing, organizing and administering non-financial office records, incl. filing/holding contracts from service providers

Sorting and distributing mail

Purchasing office supplies including postage, paper, etc.

Based on Connection Card information from Sunday, communicating with ministry leaders about interests in ministry, updating church database, forwarding prayer requests to prayer team

Providing admin support to the ministry leaders as needed, including but not limited to:

  • Purchasing supplies for ministry leaders as requested
  • Ordering curriculum for ministry leaders as needed

Developing and updating processes for church administration as needed

Making clearance checks for children/youth ministry workers

Attending regular ministry leader meetings

Helping with Pastoral office organization as needed

Other tasks as required
